Indemnity

29.1.1

To the Relevant Extent and subject to the Act and the ACNC Act, the Association must indemnify every person who is or has been an Officer against any Liability incurred in the discharge of the duties of the Officer

29.1.2

Without limiting the effect of Rule 29.1.1, the Association may execute and deliver any deed, agreement or other document in favour of any Officer or former Officer to whom this Rule applies, confirming the indemnities contained in this Rule, in relation to that person.  Rule 29.1.1. applies whether or not any such deed, agreement or other document is give

29.2

Insurance

To the extent permitted by law, the Association may (but is not obliged to):

29.2.1

pay or make payments of amounts by way of premium in respect of any contract effecting insurance on behalf, or in respect of, an Officer against any Liability incurred by the Officer in, or arising out of, the conduct of the business of the Association, or in or arising out of, the discharge of the duties of the Officer; and

29.2.2

bind itself in any deed (in such terms as the Directors consider appropriate) with any Officer to make the payments.
