Accessing Funds from Community Inclusion Reserve – Procedure

Finance > Accessing Funds from Community Inclusion Reserve - Procedure

Authorised by Finance Manager

Revised Date: 13 August 2019

Kyeema holds a small funding reserve called Community Inclusion, where small amounts of unused funding from various sources are placed.

Guidelines for use of this money are that it should benefit participants in some manner.

Proposals for use of funds may include staffing support for participants for emergencies as the NDIS is not swiftly responsive to such needs and many Kyeema participants have ageing parents.

Support may be requested for special outings or events that are not covered by a participant’s NDIS funding.

Items may be purchased if they are for participant use.

1.       Requests for funds from the Community Inclusion reserve may come from any Kyeema staff member.

2.       Proposals for use of the funds may be made verbally or in writing to a Manager or the CEO.

3.       The Manager or CEO emails the Finance Manager with the request. The email must contain the amount requested and how the funds will be used.

4.       The Finance Manager will retain the emailed proposal as part of the audit trail for the appropriate use of the Community Inclusion funds.
