Key Responsibilities
• Assist with tasks and projects the Day Activities Manager requires, including but not limited to organising excursions, additional activities and advocacy support
• Provide general administrative support to the Supports Manager
• Conduct orientation/induction of new employees or student placements
• Communicate with Administration Officers in relation to vehicle scheduling and maintenance
• Coordinate the up-keep of first aid kits and excursion bags ensuring they meet OH&S regulations
• Roster placement students and communicate this information with the relevant people
• Collect and maintain up to date quality and safeguard documents from students and volunteers, including but not limited to Police Checks, Working with Children’s Check and placement agreements
• Attend Occupational Health & Safety meetings
• Ensure all tasks completed comply with Kyeema’s policies and procedures
• Ensure all tasks completed adhere to external auditing agencies
Child Safe Responsibilities
•Kyeema holds a policy of zero tolerance to racism and has expectations that staff and volunteers will act on incidents of racism
•Kyeema has systems to protect children from abuse, will take all allegations very seriously and will respond to them consistently in line with Kyeema’s policies and procedures
•Kyeema is committed to promoting cultural safety of Aboriginal children, cultural safety of children from culturally and/or linguistically diverse backgrounds and to providing a safe environment for children with a disability
•Kyeema is committed to ensuring the acceptance and inclusion of participants' and workers' gender identities
Objective of role
Provide high quality assistance to the Supports Manager by completing all requested tasks to the best of your ability while complying with Kyeema’s policies and procedures and meeting external auditing agency requirements.
General
