Daily running of the Nursery Tuesday to Saturday is as follows:
TUESDAY
Refer to Opening the Nursery Procedure|topic=Opening the Nursery Procedure
• Check igloos, shade house & plants on hardstands for moisture content, pests, plants requiring attention etc.
• Check diary for planning the week ahead, relief staff, activities, orders to be collected, meetings, check previous week for any carryover.
• Turn on computer and check emails (you will need to hit the send/receive button for the emails to come through). Check emails a few times during the day
• Any communications can be left in the Diary
• Complete employee attendance for the day
• Check Diary for any meetings – Supervision, Managers and OH&S and any communications
Employees
• 9.30am Employees arrive
• 9.30-10.00am Any Work experience participants
• Work instructions may be left on the white board
• Refer to Closing up the Nursery Procedure at the end of the day
WEDNESDAY

• Check Diary for any communications
• Work instructions may be left on the white board
• Turn on computer and check emails (you will need to hit the send/receive button for the emails to come through). Check emails a few times during the day
Employees
• 9.30am Employees arrive

THURSDAY

• Check Diary
• Work instructions may be left on the white board
• Turn on computer and check emails (you will need to hit the send/receive button for the emails to come through). Check emails a few times during the day
• Email employee attendance as an attachment to Margaret Kempton by 9am
Employees
• 9.30 Employees arrive
• Check that volunteers are organised for Saturday trading
• Refer to Closing up the Nursery Procedure at the end of the day
FRIDAY

• Check Diary for any communications
• Set watering systems for the weekend if required.
• Clean up workshop at the end of the day.
• Prepare nursery for the weekend

SATURDAY

• Put out flag and sign
• Prepare for customer sales
• Allocate volunteer activities
• 3:00pm closing and lock up
