Purpose of the gathering
The purpose of the Family & Carers Catch-up is to:
- Provide a comfortable and informal opportunity for two-way exchange of information, ideas and perceptions about the services and activities of Kyeema Support Services.
- Enable parents/carers to catch up on any recent developments or future plans, and to have their say on any matters that concern them.
- Promote support and social contact between the family members of participants.
Attendees
Parents, family members or carers of people who are supported by Kyeema are invited to attend the Catch-ups, which are held quarterly.
Meeting Procedures
A Kyeema manager will convene and chair the Catch-ups, which will include the following items:
- A report from the CEO or delegate on developments with Kyeema, its programs and services.
- When available, the Respite House Coordinator and possibly a team leader will be in attendance to provide information
- Any feedback from those present
- Any queries or concerns that any parent/carer wishes to raise
- Members will have the opportunity to make recommendations to the CEO and to the Kyeema Board of Management.
- Notes are taken and distributed with the next invitation
