Kyeema’s First Aid kits are located at all sites except Windward Industries which must comply with Portland Aluminium’s requirements to attend the medical centre.
Smaller first aid kits are in every vehicle and in the Evacuation Packs.
The contents of all the first aid kits are based on guidelines from WorkSafe Victoria’s First Aid in the Workplace Compliance Code. The main workplaces contain more items in the first aid kits than the vehicles and evacuation pack kits have.
The contents of the vehicle and evacuation pack kits are tailored to the needs of the activities undertaken by participants and staff.
Regular checks are undertaken every 4 months at all sites to re-order supplies.
Responsibilities
Admin Clerk:
• Undertake first aid checks using SF-61 First Aid Checklist
• Re-order as required through online supplier
• Update the Site First Aid Check Completion Status table every 4 months
Record keeping
Hard copies of the first aid check forms kept on site
Electronic copies scanned to K:\ drive:
• "K:\OH&S, Risk Registers, EPC & ESM\First Aid Kit Replacements\SF-61 First Aid Checklists"
