The electronic door provides opening on entry and exit via a sensor above the door and sensors in the door frame.
The doors range of operations is controlled from inside the building from a “control switch” mounted under the right side of the mechanism cover that runs along the top of the door. The control switch is operated by a key that must stay in the switch at all times.
An emergency button (green) is located on the right hand side corner post. The emergency button allows you to open the door from the inside when it is locked.
To enter building when door is locked:
Insert key in outside lock and turn. Key is “spring” loaded and turns only a quarter turn anti-clockwise.
Door will open.
Once inside, turn the key in the control switch from Lock to Automatic.
The door will now open and close automatically.
The alarm system must be turned off at the control pad in the foyer using your assigned number.
To lock the building when last to leave:
• Set alarm using your assigned number.
• Turn the key in the control box to Lock.
• Push the green emergency button to open the door and let you out.
• Door will close within normal time span and remain locked.
Other functions:
The door can be set to be left open by turning the key in the control box to Open. The door will remain open until the setting is altered.
The door can be set to prevent entry (locked to people outside) while allowing people inside to exit. This function is set by turning the key in the control box to Exit.
