Participants Financial Management Procedure

Finance > Participation Financial Management Procedure

Authorised by Chief Executive Officer

Revised Date: 20 October 2019

NDIS participants create a funded support plan with the NDIS and funds sit with either:

-    The NDIA

-    The individual or her/his family if self-managed

-    A financial intermediary

Kyeema invoices for service after that service has been provided. Invoicing to the NDIA is carried out via the NDIA Provider Portal. Access is via a log in. Details of how to apply for access are also on Kyeema’s QMS.

Invoicing to individuals or financial intermediaries is via arrangement.

A service agreement should be created between a participant and Kyeema, detailing the expectations each has about the hours and type of service the participant requires and Kyeema agrees to provide.

The agreement can specify:

•    The supports that will be provided.

•    The cost of supports.

•    How the participants would like the services to be delivered.

•    The duration the supports to be provided.

•    When and how the agreement will be reviewed.

•    How the participant and provider will deal with any issues that might arise.

•    What the participant’s responsibilities are in the agreement - for example, to advise if unavailable for a shift.

•    What the provider’s responsibilities are in the agreement – for example to work with the participant to provide services that suit his/her needs.

•    The notice that is needed to end the agreement.
