If we are given prior notice:
•Letters home to bring in picnic lunch and morning tea for over the outage time. Nothing that needs to be heated.
•Participants to use main participant toilets where possible rather than accessible bathroom (no windows, no fan when power off).
•Urns to be boiled before power goes out. Water put into thermoses and towels wrapped around urns.
•Overhead hoist batteries to be fully charged. Also check manual hoist
Power Blackout with no warning:
•Use the BBQ to heat any lunches.
•If urns hot, put water into thermoses and wrap urns to retain heat for as long as possible.
•Use BBQ wok burner to boil water if urns not hot already.
In the event of a power Outage at night at Kyeema please follow illuminated emergency exit signs located on the ceiling that leads to Exits.
Outside Day Program managers office in the cupboard There are some lanterns in case needed. Once equipment has been used please put them back in the cupboard
