Responsible to:

Key Responsibilities

      Plan, execute and oversee Quality Assurance policies and procedures and provide updated copies to Administration staff to be uploaded on Kyeema’s Quality Management System

      Maintain current and future policies and procedures while ensuring they comply with NDIS practice standards and relevant Australian laws and guidelines

      Ensure all current and future policies and procedures comply with Kyeema’s Vision and Mission statements

      Conduct continuous research to improve policies and procedures

      Ensure all policies and procedures meet the requirements of external auditing agencies

 

Child Safe Responsibilities

       Kyeema holds a policy of zero tolerance to racism and has expectations that staff and volunteers will act on incidents of racism

       Kyeema has systems to protect children from abuse, will take all allegations very seriously and will respond to them consistently in line with Kyeema’s policies and procedures

       Kyeema is committed to promoting cultural safety of Aboriginal children, cultural safety of children from culturally and/or linguistically diverse backgrounds and to providing a safe environment for children with a disability

       Kyeema is committed to ensuring the acceptance and inclusion of participants' and workers' gender identities

 

Objective of role

Plan, execute and oversee Kyeema policies and procedures ensuring they comply with NDIS practice standards and Australian standards while identifying any areas that may require improvement.

Skills and Qualities required for position of Quality Assurance Officer

The following are a mix of qualities, skills and experience required for the position of Quality Assurance Officer:

      Key knowledge of NDIS practice standards

      Ability to analyse changes to laws that impact the disability sector and adapt Kyeema’s policies and procedures to comply with these

      Organisational Skills

      Administrative, report writing and IT skills

      Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
