PRE-OPERATION ü Check workspaces and walkways to ensure no slip/trip-hazards are present ü Locate and ensure you are familiar with the operation of the ON/OFF starter and E-Stop (if fitted) ü Check the table is set not more than 2mm from abrasive disc ü Check that abrasive disc is in a serviceable condition ü Fit and adjust the dust collector shroud (where fitted) correctly for maximum efficiency. Start the dust extraction unit before using the machine ü Faulty equipment must not be used. Immediately report suspect equipment
SAFE OPERATION ü Allow machine to reach maximum revolutions before operating to avoid overloading ü Always place material on the table on the downward side of the disc travel to hold it down on the table surface ü Hold material firmly against the table before applying pressure on abrasive ü Keep hands/fingers clear of abrasive disc while sanding ü Before making adjustments switch off and bring the machine to a complete standstill
DON’T û Never leave the machine running unattended û Do not sand very small items û Do not sharpen tools û Do not sand metal or other materials except wood.
