PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT REQUIRED | |||

PRE-OPERATION ü Check that the work area and walkway are free of obstacles and trip hazards ü Check that the work area is physically isolated from traffic ü Check that work area is clearly sign posted to prevent traffic ü Ensure all electrical leads are raised above the ground to keep them out of water ü A safety switch or residual current device (RCD) must be used ü Ensure you are familiar with all machine operations and controls per the manufacturer’s instructions ü Locate and ensure you are familiar with the operation of the ON/OFF starter ü Read Safety Data Sheet for any chemicals being used and comply with product manufacturer’s directions ü Faulty equipment must not be used. Immediately report suspect equipment
SAFE OPERATION ü Control direction and pressure of water splash at all times ü Never aim spray at another person ü Wear wet weather clothing to prevent clothing being wet with chemicals or contaminated water ü Maintain complete control. Always operate with both hands. Maintain a proper & steady footing at all times ü Turn off immediately after use. Before making any adjustments, disconnect the plug from the power source and bring the machine to a complete standstill
POST-OPERATION ü Turn off power ü De-pressurise unit ü Tidy away hoses ü Leave the machine and the workspace in a safe, clean and tidy state
DON’T û Do not use faulty equipment. Immediately report suspect equipment û Do not point the lance at another person Do not hold work piece with gloves, cloth, apron
