Purpose
•To conduct work in a safe manners and to wear appropriate PPE i.e. safety glasses, gloves
Applies to
All Windward Industries staff and employees working
Training
•Staff to train/support employees on task
•Staff to ensure employees are supervised/supported as need arises. One on One support required for first four weeks. Document in individual training documentation.
•Task Analysis must be followed to ensure everyone is following correct procedure for work attending.
Safety
Set up workstation to eliminate tripping hazards i.e. No boxes/bags protruding into work areas and walk ways.
Pre-Operational Checks
Check that area if free of un required items
Hazard Assessment
List here all aspects of the job e.g. Manual handling, Chemical hazards
•Minimize manual handling of any large items. Ask for assistance
•Keep work area clean
•Check for water on floor and spills
Environmental Impact
Type here any environmental requirements
•NON hazardous chemicals
•Isolation
List any “standing isolation procedures by title and number
