Seawinds Saturday Procedure
Customers & hand watering are the main priority for Saturday; however, the following tasks can be completed.
Follow opening procedure.
• Check “Selma” polytunnel for vegetable or flower stock ready for sale – Make sure stock has rooted out in pot/punnet. If unsure, leave for following week. Price & tag stock where necessary, put in retail shade house.
• Check for dry spots in polytunnels/shade houses- Hand water where necessary.
• Thoroughly hand water retail area – A couple seconds per pot. Sometimes this task can take hours depending on customers.
• Tidy, deadhead, trim or fertilise stock in the retail area where necessary.
• Weed or de-cobweb retail area.
• Sweep & mop kitchen area and office in the work shed.
• Clean staff toilets, sweep & mop floors.
• Catch up on Carelink notes.
• Familiarise with retail stock & their planting requirements.
