Goals

The Speaking Up Advocacy Group is to support participants in self-advocacy.

While most who attend are from Day Activities groups, the Speaking Up Advocacy Group is open to anyone using Kyeema supports.

 

Objectives

The objectives of the Advocacy Group are to:

      Identify areas for improvement.

      Bring up issues people may have.

      Sharing together about things that come up and about listening to others.

      Information about government laws and upcoming events

      Bringing up new ideas

 

Tasks

The tasks to be undertaken by the Advocacy Group are as follows;

      Run the meetings

      Identify problems within Speaking Up

      Receive reports from OH&S Representatives

      Receive reports from representatives who attended the regional All Abilities Advocacy Group  

 

Frequency and length of Meetings

      Meetings will be held twice a monthly and usually go for 20 minutes
