Key Responsibilities and Duties
Responsibilities and duties of Volunteers will depend on each individual’s skill set and interests and will be negotiated with the volunteer upon commencement at Kyeema Support Services.
Child Safe Responsibilities
• Kyeema has systems to protect children from abuse, will take all allegations very seriously and will respond to them consistently in line with Kyeema’s policies and procedures
• Kyeema holds a policy of zero tolerance to racism and has expectations that staff and volunteers will act on incidents of racism
• Kyeema is committed to promoting cultural safety of Aboriginal children, cultural safety of children from culturally and/or linguistically diverse backgrounds and to providing a safe environment for children with a disability
• Kyeema is committed to ensuring the acceptance and inclusion of participants' and workers' gender identities
General

Qualities and Requirements required by Volunteers
The following are qualities and requirements required for Volunteers at Kyeema Support Services:
• Ability to relate to people of diverse backgrounds and abilities
• Understanding of participants rights and the ability to uphold those rights
• Ability to follow Kyeema’s policies and procedures
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
• Respectful and professional communications that build positive relationship
• Volunteer Working with Children Check
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
