Key Duties
• Provide an going skills development and training to people with disabilities
• Ensure operational of Occupational Health & Safety requirements are followed
• Monthly Occupational, Health & Safety meetings and conducted are minuted
• Liaise with Portland Aluminium Stores, Plant Protection and administration and external contractors as required.
• Ensure Windward Industries operational procedures are followed.

Tasks
• Play a hands on role in the manual operations and tasks associated with contracts
• To guide, co-ordinate, encourage and direct Supported Employees in contract tasks.
• Ensure participant daily documentation is completed
• Ensure D.M.I. documentation is completed
• Contribute to Employment Assistance Planning for Supported Employees
• Create and review Task Analysis
• Ensure all contractual obligations are met.
• Hold regular meetings with the Chief Executive Officer to discuss opportunities for managers growth
Staffing
• Direct line of supervision for Windward Industries part time staff
• Active involvement in Windward Industries staff recruitment
• Arrange relief staff/casuals as required. Chief Executive Officer or other designated person to have responsibility for the above when supervisor not available.
• Ensure that staff members have clearly defined responsibilities, support and resources to carry out their work
Training
• Participate in identified training opportunities as determined from time to time.
Quality Assurance
• Support Windward Industries EAP Process
• Consult with the Chief Executive Officer regarding changes required to be completed on the D.M.I. through FOFMS
• Be responsible for the Windward Industries Occupational Health & Safety process
• Participate in Windward Industries specific quality assurance and continuous improvement processes as supported by the Compliance Officer
• Participate in regular information sharing meetings with other program managers and Chief Executive Officer
Reporting
• Provide monthly data to Chief Executive Office for inclusion to the Board of Management
• Prepare internal reports as required
• Ensure all reporting/invoicing to contractors is completed and forwarded on time
• Ensure that all record keeping complies with service audits/legislation and standards.
• Ensure staff complete incident report documentation
Facilities
• Ensure general cleanliness and presentation of facilities
• Make arrangements, when required for maintenance of Windward Industries facilities and equipment
General
• Ensure Windward Industries items are prepared in time for newsletter publication dates
• Manage employee lease roster
Budget and Finance
• Work collaboratively with Finance Manager and Chief Executive Officer to contribute to the development and management of the annual budget
• Invoicing and sales to contractors
General Conditions
• Performance indicators for the position of Supervisor will be negotiated for the coming year at the time of the annual appraisal
• Drivers licence essential
• Current Level 2 First Aid Certificate
• Information Technology skills
• Experience in Staff Management
• Portland Aluminium Level 2 Induction
