Key Responsibilities

      Utilise a range of tools/equipment

      Behave in a manner appropriate to standard workplace expectations

      Abide by the Occupational Health & Safety Regulations Act 2004 and legislative requirements

      Complete any site specific training or inductions

      Consider the safety and well-being of yourself and other colleagues before undertaking tasks

      Perform tasks to the best of your capability ensuring they meet Windward Industry quality standards

      Attend additional training where required

      Notify your Supervisor of any concerns you may have regarding your colleagues, workplace or equipment

      Ask your Supervisor or Support Worker for help when required

 

Child Safe Responsibilities

       Kyeema holds a policy of zero tolerance to racism and has expectations that staff and volunteers will act on incidents of racism

Duties Performed

      Respiratory Support Centre works cleaning RACAL helmets

      Flatten and pack rags, clothes and felt wipes

      Operate tools and equipment including but not limited to the rag cutter, washing machine and dryer

      Cut tape and bundle ropes for the pot lining

      Load, seal and pack Polsol

      Load and unload washing machine and dryer with gloves, cloths or any other materials requested

      Dismantle and clean MRF helmets ready for recycling

      Fabricate feeder hoses including cutting to length and attaching fittings

      Sort, pair and tag assorted gloves

      Assist with collating and delivering mail on site

      Assist with deliveries and pick-ups within Portland Aluminium Smelter and the community

      Contribute as a team member in Occupational Health & Safety issues

      Assist in other areas of Windward Industry Employment sites and contracts including but not limited to Windward Carwash

 

Objective of role

Perform all duties requested of you to a high standard while maintaining a safe work environment for yourself and work colleagues by meeting site specific regulations and the Occupational Health & Safety Regulations Act 2004.
