Policy
Kyeema Support Services Inc. (Kyeema) will monitor staff and supported employees health where there is a requirement to do so.
Kyeema will monitor staff wellbeing in accordance with its own procedures and recognising that work in the disability sector can be stressful and physically challenging.
Procedure
1. Staff and supported employees who work on site at Portland Aluminium must have a medical check on commencement of employment. The preferred provider is Seaport Medical Centre as it bulk bills. Contact Phone Number is: (03) 5523 2322.
2. Staff and supported employees based on site at Portland Aluminium will be provided with 3 yearly medical reviews.
3. Support staff and team leaders are encouraged by Program Managers to be peer supports for co-workers .If a person is observed to be suffering in some way, team leaders or program managers/supervisors are to check on his/her wellbeing.
4 Program Managers and Team Leaders to be aware of Kyeema’s Employee Assistance Plan, which can be used to offer support.
